General Information
These shows are recommended for Fourth and Fifth grade but we have performed them for Kindergarten through Sixth with very positive results and attention from every grade level.
Follow the GoldFollow the Gold is filled with the colorful characters and true-life stories of the California Gold Rush. We trace Gold Fever from the fateful discovery at Sutter's Mill to the granting of California Statehood. Included in this show are segments on the Mexican-American War, the hardships of Going West, the Rise and Fall and Rise of San Francisco and visits by Levi Strauss and Lotta Crabtree.
Rebs and Yanks Not only relating the battles of the Civil War, Rebs and Yanks brings to life characters of the time, both great and unsung. You'll meet a gentleman who was present at both the start and the dramatic conclusion of the War, founder of the Red Cross Clara Barton and even Mr. Lincoln himself. From baseball to the contribution of women to the war effort, Rebs and Yanks is a brief but complete history of the Civil War.

Our scripted shows tell their stories in vignette style with lots of props
and costume changes. Two professional actors and a musician who provides
not only music but sound effects as well visit you at your venue. The
shows run about 30 minutes each and keep the students totally engaged. There are
even scenes where we invite several students onstage to participate. Each
program is wrapped up with what usually becomes a spirited Question and
Answer session.
